I downloaded this app while going through an extremely difficult situation at home. I was immediately skeptical of what I assumed would be a "cute" app that would the the equivalent of a motivational cat poster. Im so glad to see over the last several weeks that I was wrong.
The app is terrific at guiding you through different activities, based on your input. There are some days when I dont have the energy to put effort into activities, and thankfully there are simple games that trick you into feeling good (try the hot air balloon game and youll see what I mean). Then there are days when I really want to get into things, and just typing them out and seeing my life unfold over time is both painful and liberating. It adds perspective during a time when Ive felt lost.
If youre having a hard time and going through something agonizing, dont be afraid to get help. See a counselor, talk about meds to help you stabilize. And I definitely recommend downloading this app as a welcome distraction, a helpful companion through your difficult times.
When Im on the other side, I intend to keep Happifying to maintain my gratitude for all the good things that this app has helped me to recognize.
